Emergency dentist in Tampa
Tooth pain does not wait for a convenient time. Call us first thing and we will do everything we can to get you seen the same day.
A dental emergency is anything that hurts, bleeds, or breaks and cannot reasonably wait. Severe or throbbing tooth pain, a tooth that has been knocked out or cracked, a filling or crown that came loose, swelling around a tooth or in the jaw: all of it is worth a phone call today rather than a weekend spent waiting it out. Pain is your body flagging a problem, and dental problems almost always get more expensive the longer they are left.
Call as early in the day as you can and we will make room for you. Walk-ins are welcome during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and calling ahead means we can have a chair and the right X-rays ready before you arrive. You are seen by Dr. Bustami in our office on East Adamo Drive, the same office that looks after patients from Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Seffner, and Valrico.
What we offer
- Severe Tooth Pain
- Throbbing, constant, or keeping you up at night. We find the cause and treat it, not just the symptom.
- Broken or Chipped Tooth
- Repair that protects what is left of the tooth and gets your bite back to normal.
- Knocked-Out Tooth
- Time matters more here than with anything else. Call on your way in and keep the tooth moist.
- Lost Filling or Crown
- Refitted or replaced before the exposed tooth turns into a much bigger repair.
- Abscess or Swelling
- Infection treated promptly, because an abscess does not clear up on its own.
- Emergency Extraction
- When a tooth truly cannot be saved, removal handled gently and in-house.

Common questions
My tooth was knocked out. What should I do right now?
Pick the tooth up by the crown, never by the root. If it is dirty, rinse it gently with milk or saline rather than scrubbing it. If you can, put it back in the socket and hold it there; if you cannot, keep it in a cup of milk or even your own saliva. A knocked-out adult tooth has its best chance of being saved within the first hour, so call us on your way in.
What can I do about the pain until I get there?
Rinse with warm salt water, hold a cold compress against the outside of your cheek for swelling, and take an over-the-counter pain reliever you normally tolerate. Do not put aspirin directly on the gum and do not apply heat to a swollen area. Call us and we will tell you what else helps for your particular problem.
Do you take walk-ins, and what are your hours?
Walk-ins are welcome during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Calling ahead is still better, because it lets us have a chair and your X-rays ready and cuts down how long you wait once you get here.
Will my insurance cover an emergency visit?
Most insurances are accepted, and emergency exams and X-rays are commonly covered at least in part. Give us your insurance details on the phone or bring your card in, and we will check your benefits and explain what you owe before treatment starts.
